Student Accommodation Summit 2018
Addressing the under supply of Student Accommodation through New Builds, Refurbishments and Vertical Infrastructure
Australia’s world-class universities attract $15 billion in the nation’s economy and this comes at no surprise with international student enrolments growing 15 per cent in the first quarter of 2017. This reflects a record growth over the past few years and is only expected to continue to rise.
Yet despite the attraction our cities and universities have on international students, a recent market report revealed that the supply of Purpose Built Student Accommodation in each of the eight capital cities is less than 11% of the full-time student population. While there are proposed development pipelines in the next five years, it is evident that Australia’s student accommodation is experiencing an undersupply, which will affect overall length of tenancies and keeping with the pace of future enrolments.
IQPC is pleased to announce the Student Accommodation Summit 2018 taking place between the 27th - 28th March 2018 in Melbourne. Drawing on student experience, collaborative development and financing models for project delivery, this case study focused event will draw leaders of Student Accommodation Development to share their experiences in a highly interactive forum.
